School Entrance Mock Tests & Test Series

Practise according to the correct examination, entry class and paper pattern. Review accuracy, timing and topic gaps after every test.

A mock-test result measures performance on that test. It does not represent a percentage chance of admission.

Three stages of testing
1

Topic Test

Practise one subject or topic after learning the concept.

2

Sectional Test

Combine related topics and practise a larger exam section.

3

Full-Length Mock

Simulate the examination with the stated time and paper structure.

Choose the Right Test

Do not start with full mocks too early

The right test depends on how much of the syllabus the student has already studied.

01

Topic Test

Best after completing one topic.

  • Short duration
  • Focused questions
  • Quick error review
  • Useful for foundation building
02

Sectional Test

Best after completing a meaningful group of topics.

  • Longer practice
  • Subject-level review
  • Timing development
  • Mixed-topic questions
03

Full Mock Test

Best when the student has covered most of the relevant syllabus.

  • Exam-style structure
  • Realistic duration
  • Whole-paper strategy
  • Detailed performance analysis

Exam-Specific Testing

One mock format cannot serve every examination

The paper must match the relevant class, subjects and selection method.

Navodaya

Keep Class VI, IX and XI test routes separate.

View Guide

Sainik School

AISSEE VI and IX require different paper structures.

View Guide

AMU Schools

Class VI and IX tests should match AMU’s class-specific pattern.

View Guide

Jamia Schools

Class XI needs separate Science, Arts and Commerce tests.

View Guide

BHU CHS

Use mocks only for routes where an entrance test actually applies.

View Guide

RMS

Class VI and IX CET have different paper structures.

View Guide

RIMC

RIMC preparation requires written-answer practice, not only MCQs.

View Guide

Residential Schools

Verify the state/scheme before creating a mock test.

Mock-Test Method

A test is useful only when the result leads to action

Students should not simply collect scores. Every test should produce a review and next step.

01

Read Instructions

Understand duration, questions and marking rules.

02

Attempt Independently

Use the actual test conditions as closely as practical.

03

Check Score

Record marks, attempts and accuracy.

04

Review Errors

Identify concept, careless and timing mistakes.

05

Plan Revision

Turn the analysis into specific practice tasks.

Performance Analyzer

Turn a raw test result into useful metrics

Enter the total questions, correct answers, incorrect answers and unattempted questions.

Accuracy on Attempted Questions
This calculator does not calculate exam marks, because different examinations may have different marking or negative-marking rules. Always use the official marking instructions for the selected test.
Test Report

Every mock result should answer four questions

A useful report explains what happened and what the student should do next.

🎯

Score

How many marks were achieved under the applicable marking rules?

✅

Accuracy

How often were attempted questions answered correctly?

⏱️

Timing

Was time used effectively across sections and questions?

📚

Topic Gaps

Which specific subjects or topics need revision before the next test?

Example next-step note

Priority: Fractions and comprehension accuracy.

Action: Complete two targeted worksheets, review the incorrect questions, then attempt another sectional test before the next full mock.

Test Quality

The mock test should be academically trustworthy

Question Quality

  • Teacher-review every question
  • Verify the answer key
  • Match the intended class and syllabus
  • Use clear wording
  • Avoid ambiguous options
  • Review reported errors promptly

Result Quality

  • State the test name and date
  • Show marks under the correct rules
  • Show attempts and accuracy
  • Identify topic-level gaps
  • Separate completion from mastery
  • Keep individual results private
A harder paper should not automatically be described as “better”. Repeat tests should use reasonably comparable difficulty when progress is being measured.
Mock Test FAQs

Questions students and parents may ask

Is a readiness assessment the same as a mock test?

No. A readiness assessment identifies the student’s current academic starting point. A mock test measures performance under the conditions of a particular examination.

Should I take full mock tests every day?

Usually not. Students also need time to review mistakes, relearn weak topics and practise them before attempting another full test.

Can the same mock be used for Sainik, RMS and Navodaya?

No. Their examination structures differ. A useful mock should match the relevant school, class, subjects and current paper pattern.

How should I use a low mock score?

Identify why marks were lost: concept gaps, careless errors, poor time management or unattempted topics. Then practise those areas before retesting.

Does a high mock score guarantee selection?

No. A mock score reflects performance on that test. Official selection depends on the relevant eligibility, examination and admission process.

Can RAAH provide online tests?

RAAH can offer or arrange online test support where a suitable test is available. Confirm the current test schedule, access conditions and fee before enrolment.
